錢畇竹 Chien, Yun-Chu
1993年出生於臺灣臺北，太陽、金星在天蠍，月亮在雙魚，目前就讀國立臺灣藝術大學美術系當代視覺文化博士班；2022年以當屆第一名成績畢業於國立臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術研究所媒體藝術組。現創作生活於臺北。同時身兼軟裝設計顧問、游泳教練、救生員、華梵大學攝影與VR學系代課講師，以及「錢宅」與「這是一間設計工作室」負責人。作品曾於香港、澳門及臺灣各地展出，包括靜慮藝廊、新樂園藝術空間、關渡美術館、寶藏巖國際藝術村、駁二藝文特區……等；曾獲邀參加2022臺北白晝之夜、並曾獲邀代表臺灣參加2023年澳門雙年展平行展、2019年香港FLAME HK錄像藝術節、亦曾獲得2020年國藝會視覺藝術常態補助、2018年新樂園藝術空間年度新秀藝術家，入選2017年桃源創作獎、宜蘭獎……等獎項。
目前系列創作《阿Q式4D電影院實境場景工具組》是擷取「4D電影院」及「擴增實境」兩者的特性，以構築出沈浸式體驗的基礎架構形式，在過程中解構篩選過的場景數位影像，分析其腳本中的感官刺激、動態、氛圍、符號、元素、意識形態⋯⋯等，而後利用各式符合低技術特質的現成物件、傢俱、日用品、家電或機械結構……等，經由擬仿、轉譯、挪用或轉化的方式打造出具備「阿Q」氛圍的人造場景／工具組合，試圖在其中探尋及摸索出其他可行之路徑。

About:
Yun-Chu Chien was born in 1993, Taipei, and graduated from Department of NewMedia Art of Taipei National University of the Arts. The work has been shown in SLY art space, KdMoFA, Taipei Artist Village and other several places, also has been selected in Taoyuan Contemporary Art Award, Yilan Awards and other several awards.The kit of Ah-Q 4D theatrical set is exploring the overflowing digital imagery in the contemporary society that we have stopped question its authenticity. The digital imagery cannot represent the real reality. By using the set as starting point with the digital imagery as the access to explore the concept of the authenticity of imagery and its problematic interpretation. Those objects in the set have only serve as a tool to mimic the real reality collectively. However, “Ah-Q mentality” in the work act as the psychological triumph, so called “spiritual victory,” the kit has set to fail to perform its own purpose and the self-absorption, self-satisfaction and nonchalant have reflected the failures and losses in the real reality.
